Hi, I'm 48 M, starting to plan a solo trip for next Spring or early summer and I'm super excited. I've reached out to a couple of travel agencies and received one itinerary with a quote, it was higher than I wanted so I told them and they adjusted. It came back closer to my price range but I still can't help but think I could figure out a lot of those details without their help.

For reference, I want to spend 3-4 days in the area of the Arenal Volcano, then transfer to the Caribbean coast for 4-5 days of beach time before going back to San Jose for my flight.

I know the travel agency provides a concierge service which sounds great if something goes wrong. But other than that, if I do all the planning myself, am I saving a lot of money?

Thank you
