Dependancy on Vyvanse to poop? Experience with taking a 4 month breaks
Hi! This is a weird post and I have found limited similar experiences.
In October last year I had to stop taking Vyvanse, I was on 30mg for about 2 years. I started taking it again in February of this year.
During the months where I was not taking Vyvanse, I could hardly *ever* poop. I actually had to resort to using suppositories/laxative teas occasionally for relief. I think I would have maybe 1-2 good poops a week, whereas when I take my meds I will poop about 30 minutes after without fail. Before I was on Vyvanse I probably went about 5x a week.
I didn't change my diet, exercise habits, or hydration. I eat fibre, exercise daily, and drink a lot of water. When I went back on my meds, I immediately pooped the first day I took them again.
I'm a bit worried that if I ever stop taking Vyvanse I won't be able to poop again. I'm curious if anyone else has experience this? And if so, did it eventually pass (no pun intended, ha)? Or did you find something else to help?
