Hey all,
4 year sufferer here, hydrogen dominant and main symptom is diarrhoea. My doctor said that antibiotics dont help sibo and most likely cause more issues than not taking them. She said that its all about meal spacing + diet + overnight fasting is all that is needed to fix motility. Of course that only applies if your diet and eating habits caused the problem in the first place.
If I look up sibo treatment on google, reddit and chatgpt, there seems to be a general agreement, that you must take antibiotics and then manage motility with diet and possibly meds, so the bacteria cant grow back.
That is the question I want to ask in this post: what are your opinions and experiences with motility and antibiotics? I cant really find any evidence that antibiotics are definitely necessary, I wonder if there are people who were able to get cured with strict dieting and meal spacing, would love to hear your thoughts.
Please refrain from passive aggressive trolling etc. we're all suffering and should help each other.
