Good morning... or is it afternoon?

The first invite to the Discord launch absolutely blew us away.

We had an incredible number of people join, so much so hat we’ve already had to fast-track some of our plans. This has been one of the best turnouts we have ever seen and are so happy with how things are starting out! Thanks to your help we also caught a few early setup mistakes and put your feedback into to community.

Now it’s time for a second wave.

Just like before, we’re opening up another limited 24-hour invite link, so if you missed the first round, this is your chance to jump in.

Monday the 18th: Shadowdark Open Table
Dan is hoping to make this a regular weekly event. Maybe not the same world or system but a regular main stay open table! In this adventure you’ll enter a grim dark black metal world, delve a cathedral taken over by a fake god and prevent the end of the world!

Sunday evenings: Weekly Chat
A community hangout to talk about TTRPG news, events, and releases from the week; with plans to wrap up with a “Prep Together” session when time allows.

That’s at least two events this week, and we’re only getting started.

Coming Soon:

“This Is a Test”
A new open table and discussion event focused on new, unusual, or lesser-known TTRPG systems, designed to spotlight the wider TTRPG space. This one’s still in development, but we’re excited about it.

Good morning… or is it afternoon?

A few months ago, we mentioned that we were beginning work on a Discord server for r/LFG_Europe. Around that same time, Discord made some interesting decisions, and we chose to pause the project rather than commit to a platform that seemed to be losing community trust.

Since then, we’ve received countless messages through Mod Mail and DMs asking if the Discord was still happening. The mod team handled things brilliantly while Dan, our Community Custodian, had to step away for personal reasons, curse you, capitalist society!

After watching how the community has evolved, testing alternative platforms with our own groups, and even gathering feedback from posts here, we can confidently say that Discord remains the first choice for TTRPG groups.

So, the project is back on! BUT…

We won’t be going fully public just yet. We believe it’s better to grow slowly and intentionally, bringing people in through hosted games and direct invites first. Our goal is to build this as a community-first space. We’ve created a baseline, but we want the server to grow and adapt based on what the community actually needs and wants.

So, what can you expect from an LFG_Europe Discord?

Right now, Dan plans to host several open tables each week to help introduce players to the community, encourage connections, and explore a variety of systems together.

This is where you come in.

We want your ideas! What would you want from an LFG_Europe Discord? What channels or events would make it genuinely useful for you? As a LFG platform and a social space.
