Hey everyone, looking for some advice from the pro eskate community here.

I recently picked up a Meepo Flow, and while it’s a solid machine, it’s honestly aggravating my sciatica pretty badly. I think it’s a combination of the deck height and the vibrations. The Flow feels a bit high off the ground for me, and I’m wondering if I can save this setup or if I’m on the wrong board entirely.

My Background:

  • Skateboarded for 5 years (traditional street/park).
  • Snowboarded for a few seasons.
  • I’m not a speed demon—I don't care about hitting 30mph. I just want to cruise and have a board that feels natural.

The Goal: I want something that feels like a traditional double-tail (DK) skateboard. I’d love to be able to manual comfortably, and if I can pop an occasional ollie over a curb, even better. I want that "mini" form factor but with the geometry of a real skate deck.

My Questions:

  1. Wheel Upgrade? Would swapping the stock wheels for something like Cloudwheels or even pneumatics help the sciatica/vibration enough to keep the Flow? Or is the ride height still going to be an issue?
  2. New Board? Should I just sell the Flow and look for a mini board that actually feels like a double-tail?
  3. Recommendations? If I switch, what boards should I look at that have a functional kicktail (or double tail) and a lower, more "skate-like" center of gravity? I’ve looked at stuff like the Tynee Mini or Acedeck Stella Blizzard, but I want to know what actually feels like a skateboard and not a "plank on wheels."

I'm trying to do all this on a budget since i only plan on riding a few times a month.

Appreciate any insight from those of you who have dealt with back issues or made the transition from traditional skating to eskate!
