Looking for any game that captures the vibe of showing up in a new (preferably small) town and getting to know the locals as the plot kicks up and things get tense. I've heard this aesthetic described as "Twin Peaks" but I've never seen it to verify.

After playing Scarlet Hollow (what's available for it, at least) I've been getting the itch for games with this basic plot hook, but unsure where to look. I've played Life is Strange and Alan Wake already, which also fit the prompt. Stardew Valley fits about 50%, but looking for something less cozy. Doesn't have to be outright horror, though. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
