Could anybody help me understand why my channel got hit with reused content claim and the appeal didn't work too.
So I have a basketball page, wher from 200 long and short videos 180 are myself playing basketball so those videos would not be reused content. But the 20 other videos are stories about NBA situations or players. To explain the videos - so I researched some sittuation or players career and write a script that is original and haven't been by anyone else. Then i do a voice over and as my visual base I use highlights from these players (ussualy type in youtube "..player name.. clips for editing) then i cut up the footage so it matches what i am talking about then i add some stats on the screen in necessary places and even some photos from stats. Add music that is not copyrighted.
In the appeal video I showed in davince resolve how I do all this, even showed my writen script.
Maybe I am not understanding the reused content policy right.
The reason showed in the appeal was not aproved was that I havent added anything substantial to the used videos.
But like what else can I add, I cant just go to an nba game and record my own footage of any player just so i can make a youtube video.
I write my own script, i do the voice over, I edit the videos I use( cuts, zooms, filters, stats)
Its not like I use one continuous clip and just talk over it.
I have seen people with less effort in their nba videos get monetization.
Okey I am not saying that I am professional editor or even a writer but I make original content.
Atleast I think so.
Its just I am desperate trying to navigate this.
