How is Alexander the Great considered on par with Napoleon?

I’m not a huge history nerd but from what I understand, their enemies were not close in terms of power at all. Alexander’s greatest enemy was a failing Persian Empire, meanwhile Napoleon beat and occupied many European countries throughout his career. Alexander faced one failing empire while Napoleon was fighting several of the world’s greatest empires all at once and won nearly every time. Also the fact that Alexander inherited his kingdom and armies while Napoleon was born into a minor noble family and worked his way into power is crazy… Please don’t make fun of me, like I said, I don’t know much about history but this just intrigues me.
