As a lover of Violet notes, I was excited to try Setsuna In Love Someday. Ordered mid-March, I patiently waited the estimated 4-8 weeks while the fragrance made the trek from Australia to the U.S. Approximately 6 weeks later, In Love Someday Day arrived at my door.

I was cautiously optimistic I might like it, while also prepared to pass on it as someone who prefers woodsy, incense-forward fragrances. (I was hoping to branch out of my comfort zone.) Immediately, upon the first spray I knew it wasn’t for me. I couldn’t detect the violet nor the marshmallow.

The longevity of this fragrance is not exaggerated. Hours later I found myself randomly craving frosted animal cookies. I have never purchased a bag in my life, but suddenly I had to have some. It wasn’t until I opened the bag that I realized why: In love Someday is a frosted animal cookie body spray with a $120 price tag. I’m convinced $10 of the $120 price tag is pulverized animal cookies, and the other $110 are the ingredients responsible for its eternal lasting power.

Fine. It’s not for me. Whatever. Surely my friend who loves vanilla and wears What the Fluff will like it. They were also a hard pass, and now I’m stuck with a full bottle. In Love Someday, despite the minimal notes, is not a safe blind buy. When will I learn my lesson? Now excuse me while I sit in the corner and think about what I’ve done.
