it's been making noise for days now. I know it's in proximity but I'm unable to find it. It made my nights hell. Please suggest some tips to sway or kill this bitchless mf.

Increase in depth is pretty steep. Water level was about 6ft under us. So don't rush in unknown areas around the Dhurwa dam carelessly especially if you don't know how to swim.
