Out of Inventory Space - Too many Corvette Modules

Hello there! I'm a new player so obviously I need some help with inventory management. I'd like to know if I should really keep all these Corvette Modules as they take up a lot of space and my inventory is very limited.

I've heard that you can get a freighter and store stuff in it at some point in the game, but I have no idea how to get one.
