Rattan wardrobe doors - messy look and dusty clothes

Hi there, we have inherited from a friend a beautiful wardrobe that has rattan panels on the doors, similar vibes to this photo.

I am looking for suggestions: the clothes are getting dusty with pet hair, and the transparency makes it always looks messy even with the door clothes.

Has any of you ever covered the doors - either from the inside or outside? They are slightly rounded. I don't mind the rattan not been seen anymore, I like the wardrobe overall but it's not practical at all at the moment. I am also terrified the cats will start scratching it as soon as they realise what material is it. Getting a new wardrobe is not an option at the moment.

EDIT:
since this came up in the comment, we have a roomba doing the rounds daily and an air purifier - on top of our normal vacuuming. We happen to have very fluffy cats so even with daily brushing clothes just attract the hair - my suits have no chance against cat hair, t-shirts and jeans don't show anything.

Thanks
