been thinking about replacing my mattress for a while now because my lower back has been bothering me more lately. i had the same one for 4-ish years and i can really feel the difference compared to when it was newer. at first i thought it was just from sitting too much during work but i’m starting to think my mattress is a big part of it too.

i started reading about different mattress types but some people say memory foam helped their back pain while others say hybrid mattresses worked better because they had more support. so which is which really? im mostly a side sleeper, sometimes on my back, if that matters.

for anyone here who also dealt with lower back pain, what (type of) mattress helped you sleep better?
