Hi everyone. I passed DLSU (Industrial Engineering), Ateneo (Management Engineering with a 100% scholarship!), and MAAP (Marine Engineering). I am in a dilemma about which school to choose and would appreciate some realistic insights.
To be straightforward, I am approaching this decision strictly from a practical and Return on Investment (ROI) perspective. I do not have a specific "passion" or dream job yet, so my main priority is selecting the degree program that offers the strongest long-term financial stability, industry demand, and overall value. Since I am young and haven't experienced the workforce yet, I want to make the most pragmatic choice possible.
For those familiar with these specific programs, I have a few questions:
How do the placement rates and early career opportunities realistically compare among these three programs?
Weighing the Scholarship: How does the long-term value of a corporate-leaning degree (Ateneo ME or DLSU IE) compare to the unique offshore track of MAAP? More importantly, is it practical to even consider the other options when I have a 100% scholarship on the table for Ateneo ME?
Between DLSU IE and Ateneo ME, which program's curriculum and alumni network provide a stronger advantage for entering highly competitive sectors like Tech, FMCG, or Management Consulting right after graduation?
