Dear Friends,

I have 7 years of experience in IT.
Core skills: SAP ABAP, SAP HANA, RAP.

So far, I have worked with 4 companies (all big MNCs).
Currently drawing 30 LPA CTC after recent switch + appraisal.

Last week, I attended interviews with one MNC casually, honestly not very seriously, because the project looked more like AMS Support and initially I was not very interested.

Unexpectedly, I cleared all 3 rounds and they really liked my profile, communication, and technical knowledge. Now they are trying to hire me aggressively.

They are offering around 37 LPA CTC, but the role/project is mainly AMS Support.

Now I’m genuinely confused:

• Should I prioritize compensation growth at this stage?
• Or should I focus more on project quality, implementation exposure, and long-term learning?
• Does moving into AMS at 7 years of experience negatively impact future career growth?
• Has anyone moved from development/implementation to AMS and still grown strongly in career and salary?

Also, honestly speaking, such a high package naturally comes with higher expectations and responsibility. Sometimes I feel I am not a “todu-fodu” developer compared to some highly talented seniors around me. I consider myself a decent and sincere developer, but not extraordinary.

Will this kind of package create constant pressure in day-to-day work?
Do companies really expect exceptional people only at this compensation level, or is it more about ownership, communication, and consistency?

Would genuinely appreciate practical guidance from experienced professionals here.

Thanks in advance 🙏
