Blue zushi - Southern Harvest Hemp

Nose is mostly that standard BHO smell right up front. Not bad just that familiar kinda sweetness. There’s some light berry in there with a little earthy/floral note behind its but it’s pretty subtle overall.

Taste is pretty much the same. Mostly that typical BHO flavor with a slight berry/earthy thing on the back end. It’s not bad at all just doesn’t really shine compared to that Frozen Trop, this one just doesn’t have the same terp depth.

Effects are solid though! Starts off with a nice happy, slightly energetic and puts you in a good mood. If you stay moving it holds there, but if you sit around too long it’ll start creeping into that relaxed, slightly sleepy feel.

This is like the third or fourth Blue Zushi I’ve had and I think I’ve just realized the terp profile isn’t really my thing. Not bad by any means, just never quite hits how I want it to. That said this stuff burned clean, was smooth, and didn’t have me coughing or feeling it in my chest even after going pretty hard on the jar in one session.

Wedding Cake (Key Lime Pie cut) - southern harvest hemp

As usual shh kills it with the cake cuts. Love their wedding cake and this was an awesome cut, I’ve never had wedding cake like this. Nose on this leans way more citrus than your typical Wedding Cake. You get a sharp lime, almost like fresh squeezed lime or lime candy, with that creamy dessert smell. There’s still a little bit of that cookie dough/earthy thing underneath but it’s has taken the backseat.

On the flavor you get that lime up front, not super sour but definitely noticeable, then it smooths out into this creamy, almost pie filling type taste. Finish has a light doughy note but again, it’s more in the back. The lime actually sticks around on the palate which is nice.

Effects feel like a slightly brighter version of Wedding Cake. Starts off a little more heady and uplifting, then settles into that calm, relaxed body feel you expect. Not super heavy right away, but if you keep going it’ll still sit you down.

Cereal milk - roots & releaf

Nose on this is pretty much what you’d expect for bho, sweet cereal milk up front but mixed with that standard BHO background. Not super loud or complex, but it’s got that creamy sweet cereal milk tryna push through.

Flavor kinda follows the same path. You’re mostly getting that classic BHO taste, with a light herbal note and just a hint of the cereal milk coming in on the backend. It’s not super terp heavy or anything, but it’s also not bad at all just a clean, straightforward dab. What it does have going for it is how smooth it is. Doesn’t burn harsh, doesn’t make you cough your lungs out, and there’s no weird or offensive taste. Effects are pretty solid also, nice relaxing good mood effects pretty good for anytime.

Melted Strawberries (GMO x Strawguava) - the unknown

Melted fuel woulda been a more appropriate name 🤣. Nose is straight gasoline and kerosene lol. There is some strawberry in there, but it’s sitting behind all that fuel. Not really bright or candy more like sweet fruit trying to push through something gassy.

Flavor pretty much doubles down on it, Super GMO forward with a keroseneish taste that just sticks around for the whole thing and will stain your mouth and rig lol. The strawberry comes in on the backend, but it’s pretty subtle…

I’ll say I wish I coulda tasted the strawberry a little more but the gmo side is so good that it makes me not care lol. Don’t go in expecting heavy strawberry tho. As seems a common with unknown this is for people who like that funky/gassy/offensive profile but want just a little sweetness to balance it. Which is my lane.

Effects follow the GMO. Pretty heavy,, good for just zoning out and relaxing.

Honey Banana - southern harvest hemp

Pretty impressed on the level of banana that this jar is at lol. Nose definitely has fresh honey and banana right away basically like ya just peeled one, with a little floral sweetness behind it.

Taste pretty much follows it exactly. Fresh banana on the inhale, then more of a ripe banana on the exhale. Sometimes it gives more green banana taste and sometimes it taste slightly floral. But this shit is bananas as Gwen Stefani would say.

What I liked most is it doesn’t have a bunch of extra stuff going on. No gas or funk or other fruit profiles trying to sneak in. A lot of banana strains say banana but then something else takes over… and while that’s okay this was a nice change of pace.

Effects are nice and easy. Pretty solid standard hybrid effects. If you want straight banana terps this is the one.

Frozen Tropicana - southern harvest hemp

Loud fresh orange peel on the nose with juicy tropical fruit and just a little funk behind it. Flavor matches nicely, basically like Tropicana Cherry without the cherry, which honestly is a win for me because I’m not the biggest fan of cherry terps most the time. Keeps the bright Trop vibes without the part I’m not huge on.

Really nice whipped consistency easy to work with, and almost rosin like texture. Clean taste with no weird BHO note. Probably the best bho I’ve had from them since the hash burger a few months ago. Effects are a sativa leaning hybrid to me. Good mood anytime stuff.

Last drop of this was nastier and funkier. This one still hits hard, but now the papaya and cherry are pushing forward more. The cherry especially stands out way more this time.

The nose is still loud as hell. Rotten garlic, gas, sour dough, fermented funk, tart fruit, with sweeter cherry and tropical papaya layered in.

Flavor is where it gets wild. It takes everything from the nose and turns it up. Super loud terps. gas, garlic, rotten fruit, with that sweet cherry and papaya hanging around in the background. Somebody described it as tasting like a gas station floor this time (last time they said it reminded them of moth balls).

Effects on this is a great one for slowing things down and relaxing. Not a put ya to sleep jar but not one I like to dabble with when I wake up personally.
