Hi all, I’m pretty deep into the scooter world but I’ve never done any crazy projects. I’m going off to college in September, and I thought it’d be fun to transform a regular scooter into at least a somewhat beast. The college is in a pretty major city, so it’d be my transportation around campus and the city. I want it to be light enough to where if my dorm is on the 4th floor, it won’t be a big deal. I love my Vsett 10+, but it’s much too heavy to carry. Budget isn’t a huge concern.
The main mod I wanted to do was a VESC, and maybe a front suspension mod if it’s just a regular commuter scooter.
I had a couple routes I was thinking of. The first was doing a commuter scooter. I could do the Hiboy S2 I already have, or pick up a Ninebot Max. I was also considering something similar to the Vsett 8- where it already has suspension, a decent battery and power, but still not too heavy. I wouldn’t mind using the old Alibaba if I went this route.
Any guidance from people who have been in this situation or know people who have? Thanks
