Hey all,

I have a 2015 150 four-wheel-drive , It’s got a pretty basic rough country 6 inch lift. It’s got the spacer on top of the stock strut for the front. I believe it’s time to change the upper and lower control arms (ball joints as well so just going to do it all) I’ve ordered OEM upper and lower control arm assemblies, and from what I’ve read the stock/pen control arms are fine, even if it’s lifted correct?

I also ordered some rough country struts for 6” lift. (So replacing the spacer with a longer strut). What I’ve read on Amazon reviews was that a bunch of people did the same thing, got rid of the spacer for a longer strut.

Just wanted to make sure everything would be compatible before I started taking this thing apart lol

Thanks!

Little bit of a long story, but I got into an accident about a year ago and it ripped my left wheel off at the upper and lower ball joints, so I ended up getting the whole left side plus the rack and pinion replaced.

I have a 6 inch lift kit, but I’ve only got spacers on top of the struts in the front. I believe my passenger side is pretty worn out so now I’m gonna cross the roads of do I upgrade everything or keep it OEM? (Keep spacers, go so the struts). I mostly just daily drive and do a little bit of offloading, but nothing extreme.

Couple questions, how do you know if you’re up and lower control arms are bad? I’m thinking I may replace both of them with full assembly, (ball joints already included) with moog arms. Anyone have experience changing these out? I feel very confident working on my truck, I’ve done a bit undone the hood and have changed out rear shocks and front brake components as well as wheel hubs.

Second question is it make a huge difference upgrading the control arms rather than going with OEM Motorcraft parts?

Thanks!
