How to get the local hotel price

For the past 2 years around low season, I've noticed a pattern to get the "Thai deals / direct sale".

On sites like agoda they use multiple checks and an algorithm to make it seem like you get a good deal until you make the final page and see the added fees. And you will pay those fees, but there is a workarounds to always avoid these checkout fees.

The work around is to use Facebook messenger and contact the hotel directly. I've had my wife contact them and they have always skipped the 7% vat and the 2.5% commission fee that Agoda puts in at the end. You can even have your name as the lead for the room. Make sure you can pay the hotel by qr payment to avoid a "service fee" the booking websites often include.

*I've not tested this method with my personal Facebook page, but id assume if I used a chatgpt English to Thai translator... the process would work to get the "Thai people low season" deals.
