One of my fishes has swim bladder issues. He was a weaker swimmer since I got him from the store, so I’m not sure if it’s a genetic issue or not. He was tipping forward a lot and got tired from swimming after a few hours. I put him in an improvised hospital container inside the main tank and finally received the proper one today. He seemed to be getting a little better (swam more without getting tired and was able to hold himself pretty horizontally). But today he’s almost fully upside down. I’ve been doing salt dips in case it would help (I read all I could and there was no other advice besides “fix water parameters” and “do salt dips”, so it’s all I can do). My parameters seem a little weird today nitrates are at 5, nitrites are at 0,05, and there was no ammonia detected. I’ve got an anti ammonia conditioner and more liquid bacteria (as adding more beneficial bacteria helped before). I’m not really sure how to help him and what exactly to do with my water parameters. I would be very grateful for any advice. He looks absolutely miserable.
