Hey everyone! I’m opening a new kids salon in Tobaccoville soon, called Snips & Spikes Kid Salon ✂️
I’ve been doing kids hair for about 12 years, and as a mom (including a kid on the spectrum), I wanted to create a space that’s fun but also calm and low-stress for kids who might struggle with haircuts.
We’re setting it up to be a really cool experience for them:
Xbox for entertainment
fun character barber chairs
sensory-friendly room for kids who need a quieter space
patient, understanding approach (especially for first haircuts)
We also try to make it something kids actually look forward to:
every haircut comes with a lollipop or animal crackers
a balloon
and a prize from the prize box
We’ll even offer adult cuts too!
I’m finishing everything up now and planning to open in June. If you’re local and have kids, I’d love for you to come check it out when we open 🙂
