For the past few years I’ve been running an R7, and I love it don’t get me wrong. But part of me has always wanted to upgrade to a full frame because I live in an area with so many low light facilities. My camera randomly changes from ‘M’ to ‘P’ modes now so I figured it was a great time to look into changing.

I’ve been eyeing the R5 for its megapixel capabilities amongst other strong qualities, but I’ve been told by locals that the R6 or R6Mii are better options for sports photography. Could I have some suggestions and reasonings here? Any thoughts are welcome.

I don’t want to spend more than the price of an R5, that’s probably the max I’d go.

What is the difference in the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 L IS II USM and III USM? I require a new lens as a sports photographer and the price points are huge (which is important to me as a student), but I do not overly know what differs one from the other.

And are the differences big enough that should make me lean one way or the other?
