My name is Dillon Vaughan, im 34, and for the last 13 years, I've been battling epilepsy. It all started when I was 21, doing tech support for Apple in Boise, ID. It's been a wild ride since all this started; I got part of my left-temporal lobe removed at Stanford, internal brain scans at Northwestern Chicago, and im on my 3rd Vagus Nerve Stimulator.
We finally managed to get control of the seizures with a CBD medication (2 years this July) and now I find myself stuck. If I earn any more it will affect my healthcare and my meds cost almost $20k/month just to keep the seizures at bay and that price is only going up. So coverage is essential and working messes with that.
Im trapped in an economic bubble due to my essential healthcare to my only way out of poverty is charity or luck, and Im not exactly lucky haha
