I am a soon to be Senior and on my 4th year of band. I was a part of leadership last year and applied for it this year as well. Last year I was a general officer that pretty much did a little bit of everything. But this year I was confident enough to apply for Band and Section captain. Long story short, I didn’t get either. I am not sad, just disappointed. A lot of people in my band believed in me, even my past band captain, and I truly thought I had what it takes. I still hold a position in leadership though, still as a general officer. I don’t understand why. I am not pleased with the results, but I don’t believe there’s much I can do, should I talk to my director about this or should I just suck it up?

Hey so like, I am currently a Junior and I took my first SAT back in march and scores came out today, I was actually quite confident that I would score higher than a 1000 but… I couldn’t even reach that. I got a flipping 990 and I am absolutely devastated. Is there anything I can do to increase my score next time I take the test or am I a lost cause… please let me know what strategies and tools I can use to try and raise up my score. I know it is not a hard test but I am just incredibly slow. So if there’s anything out there for me, please let me know what is up.🫩🙏
