Vacuum Gave Zebra Diarrhea
Hey everyone,
This morning I was cleaning the bird room, and I decided I was going to use the vacuum cleaner to get into hard to reach areas. It was only in use for 8-10minutes. It appeared to have rattled one of my zebras to the point it gave her diarrhea. She had little reaction when I was actually vacuuming. I am quite sure it was stress from the vacuum because right after I used it, I cleaned the paper at the bottom of the cage, which had no diarrhea. A few hours later I come back and there’s diarrhea. I can also confirm it is not polyurea. I them in a dark-ish area (they can still comfortably see enough to fly around), heat is up to 25, and the room is quiet. I don’t want to try to quarantine her from her sister as I fear grabbing her in the cage would stress her out even more. She is showing no other signs of illness.
My plan is to call the vet tomorrow morning if it hasn’t resolved. Anyone have any other advice?
