Any reason to replace Sony 90 2.8 macro with Sony 100 GM?
I wonder if the upgrade could be worth it at all.
The main selling point in reviews on YouTube was that "it is able to use AF even on close distances".
But the point is: I think it's not a feature of the lens, but more like a feature of the newest cameras.
Sony 90 2.8 came out in 2015. With my A7III it's AF was always struggling.
But I did put Sony 90 2.8 on my newest A7V that was in insect AF-C mode - and even on close distances shooting flowers and insects became much easier than on A7III.
So I really don't see the point in upgrading.
Has anyone done some real world comparisons of both of these lenses on the modern camera body?
