I’ve been playing MMOs since 2003. I’ve seen games rise, fall, reinvent themselves, and collapse under their own weight. I don’t usually write complaint posts because I already know how they get labeled: “whiny”, “salty”. That’s fine. That’s not the point.
The point is that some issues in Throne and Liberty have remained EXACTLY the same since day one. Untouched. And over time, they become exhausting.
I’m speaking as someone who has experienced the game in every way: hardcore, midcore, and now more chill. I run a character with a dual PvP/PvE build, 8400 gear score, and I’ve played pretty much every type of content. I finished the merge with around 25k kills. So yeah, I’d say I’ve done my fair share of PvP.
And because of that, group PvP right now feels frustrating for reasons that go beyond simple class balance.
- Console vs PC: this is a real disadvantage. Not perceived, real.
- Macros, advanced tab targeting, various automations: these exist on PC and they make a difference.
- Auto-parry / perfect scripts: people using them are basically playing a different game.
And no, this is not a “skill gap”. This is a completely different playing field.
The most frustrating part? The lack of consequences.
Is it really possible that in 2026 people using scripts and cheats are still going unpunished? In many cases, it almost feels like they’re being rewarded, because they perform better and no action is taken.
Then there’s the orb system.
You introduced a mechanic that heavily favors highly organized guilds. Players who play more casually or without a structured group will never be able to use it effectively. The result is an even wider gap between those inside the “system” and those outside of it.
I’m not trying to start a PC vs console war, and I’m not looking for pointless drama. I’ve already had my share of success: rain, eclipse, endgame content… I’ve done it all.
But precisely because I care about the game, I’m asking:
when are you going to seriously address these issues?
Because the problem isn’t losing a fight. In MMOs, losing is part of the experience.
The problem is losing to something that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
People using cheats and scripts should be isolated, not normalized.
We’re not stupid. And we’re definitely not blind.
