Just watched my first Ghibli film (Arrietty) and I loved it. I'm surprised by the mix reviews

I've seen people say that it was missing something and that the ending was disappointing. I think the fact that we don't know anyone's fate 100% is what makes it so beautiful and realistic. It's like we were following Sho and Arrietty's story, so once they were separated, it made sense that we didn't know what happened to each of them. I think that it would have been a bit stereotypical if we got an aftermath. Some people were saying it didn't feel very studio Ghibli, so maybe my opinion is different because I haven't watched any other movies, but from a purely storytelling standpoint, I thought it was masterful.
