After starting the game, i go up to the gate and do the scan as usual, then proceed to the command room and get my wristband. I then enter the radius following the rope as the guide tells me and once im in, i go the 20 extra steps up to the hill with the Device on it. I enter the Number from my Wristband, the thing explodes and i press "Come back to life" and i'm set back to the beginning of the zone, right before the hill. Going back up the hill reveals that the verification device isn't there anymore and trying to go back through the Fog where i came from just turns me around and i end up at the foot of the hill again.
I created a new save file 3 times and also walked around the radius with nothing for an hour trying to find a different exit without any luck.
Tell me, am i genuinely just stupid and there is something very obvious i'm missing? Because a bug of this significance seems like it would've been noticed and i also can't find anyone else online complaining about it.
