Buying a 2021 Karok - Belt Q
Currently have a 2017 Peugeot 2008 GT Line, approaching 60k miles and been quoted £1k for a timing belt (wet belt). I've just had to repair suspension for approx £1k and the car is valued at around £3.5k so I started looking elsewhere rather than throw more money at it.
Came across a nice 2021 Karok SE Drive, 32k miles but cannot seem to find any solid information around the timing belts.
Apparently VAG now recommend "lifetime" or 15 years for changes, others are saying 5 years. I just called Skoda dealership now and they said "I think it's 100k miles".
Anyone got any clarity or first hand experience with timing belts on these cars? It's the 1.0 TSI variant.
Cheers
