Hi, has anyone done Kauri Pass in 2026? Need insights on whether we can do it on our own. (We are experienced in high altitude trekking). Trekking companies are asking unreasonable high prices for a short trek. If we go on our own will we get stays at the camp sites?

Also, if you have done it previously with a trek organiser with a genuine price please share contacts.
