I’m temporarily working as an assembler for soda machine parts. The “handles” need to be sanded down, washed, and buffed. Specifically, I have to sand a raised line (or ledge/flash) until it’s flush and even with the rest of the body. These ledges are sometimes a few millimeters high and are a real pain—I’ve been using files and manual sanding, which takes forever.

I just bought a Dremel 4300 with the flexible shaft attachment to speed things up. Since I’m completely new to using a Dremel, will this setup work well for the job? If so, what bit or accessory should I use to efficiently remove the high spots without damaging the surrounding plastic?

Any tips on speed settings, technique, or avoiding common mistakes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
