May Update from KOA

We’ve seen a few recurring questions lately, so here’s a quick update from the warehouse.

Mystery Boxes are back

We’ve been posting mystery boxes semi-regularly over the last few weeks. No fixed schedule, and they tend to go fast.

Each box is usually a mix of swords, daggers, or other weapons in varying conditions — ranging from blow-out pieces (past our 2nd quality threshold) to discontinued first-quality items.

We don’t recommend using these for cutting or heavy handling. They’re better suited as display pieces, parts, or just for the fun of unboxing.

There are already quite a few unboxing videos on YouTube, and we’ve enjoyed seeing the reactions.

The 250th rolls on

We’ve been working with Universal Swords and Baltimore Knife and Sword on some special pieces for America’s 250th birthday celebration.

More news is coming in June around the KoA George Washington Collection.

New models arriving through May/June

A few highlights:

  • New Special Editions from Adam Bodorics
  • More HEMA and armored combat pieces from Viktor Berbekucz, Fabri Armorum, Krieger Armory, and Castille Armory
  • Harder-to-find African, Filipino, and Indian pieces from Ex Gurkha Khukuri House
  • Reinvented Medieval European and Viking models from Deepeeka
  • More anime/fantasy pieces from Hanbon Forge and Raven’s Forge
  • Expansions from Swordier, Musashi, and Knight’s Collection
  • First arrivals from Krieger Historical Weapons, plus the return of Marto decorative pieces

Brand clarification / FAQ

We’ve seen a lot of questions recently about which brands we develop directly vs. brands we curate and carry.

We don’t manufacture anything ourselves. For brands we develop, we either select specific models or work directly with trusted suppliers on development/design.

Current examples:

  • Balaur Arms — produced with LK Chen (Longquan, China) or Frenchie Jin (Dalian, China)
  • Iron Tiger Forge — Longquan, China
  • Fafnir Forge — India
  • Devil’s Edge — Pakistan

We’ll likely do a more detailed breakdown on the brand pages later this summer.

Always reach out with more questions!
