So desperately wish I could eat my way through China

I'm most of the way through a 2 week trip to China, and while I've loved it and have avoided being glutened, I've never found travel this hard.

The hotel breakfast has everything laid out on bread to sop up the grease. I wander through amazing markets surrounded by dumplings and noodles that I can never eat while I nibble on my thousandth rice ball.

People are so lovely and helpful and try to accommodate but then pop a cookie onto my ice cream to be nice and I have to give it to my partner to eat.

I knew it would be tough and thought I could easily stick it out with the safe options I have been able to find, but I'm just so sad and haven't missed my pre-coeliac life this badly in a long time.

I just want to eat a dumpling without destroying my gut 😩
