My father in law died with a detailed, legal will intact. He has verbally told my husband and brother that he wanted his car to go to his friend, an elderly woman with car problems. He didn’t put that in the written will, though. The written will leaves the automobile and all the assets to the two sons and grandson. We all want her to have the car. My question is-will they make us have the car be included in the entire months long probate process before she is allowed to have it? How would it work?
