Brand new to this sub and just making this post to get this out of my own head to people who have been through similar. So kind of a rant I guess?
Found a hard smooth lump on the outside of my right testicle last Thursday and made an appointment with a urologist the next day. Had the appointment yesterday, and over the course of about 3 hours i think I got told I have cancer in not as many words.
Doc at first thought it was a epididymal cyst, but noted it felt a little too low and sent me for an ultrasound. Ultrasound ended up confirming it was a solid mass with vascularity.
So I think now I have to get my testicle removed right? Im waiting on the call to schedule the surgery but im still just in a kind of weird state mentally. I know logically this is one of the better cancers to get if youre gonna get one, but getting any kind of cancer at 27 was not even a thought in my head.
The real kicker of it all was yesterday was my 8th wedding anniversary. So not exactly good news to he bringing home yesterday of all days. Any advice or just wise words are appreciated, but otherwise I just needed to get this out of my head.
