Weat Coast Palms x Golden Days - Apple Fritter
Before I begin, I would like to preface that I have had multiple batches of high quality BM Sour Apple before (f1 parent strain of "apple fitter"). As a result my expecatations were quite high for this product.
One of the main selling points for me (aside from the lineage) was price point. To me, a 15 gram tub for $144 is worthwile for premium flower/genetics. That being said I was a little dissappointed that there wasnt any concession pricing available. But I can look past that as the flower comes packaged in a glass jar.
Upon opening the jar I was greeted by a unexpected aroma. This phenotypes scent is more remisicant of strains like Chemovar's Facade. Unusually, with a terp % of 2.99, its idendity as an "apple" cross often fades into the background. Whilst not being especially pungent, Im hoping the glass jar has preserved more in regards to flavour.
For what Apple Fritter lacks in aromatics it makes up for in bag appeal. All of the flowers included in this tub are visualy striking. The kush genetics shine through, with knobbly "horned" bud structures. These buds are pale green in complexion, splashed with different hues of deep purple. Completing their appearnace are small pockets of bright orange stigmas, coated in an even layer of amber trichomes.
For my first titration, I filled my dynavape and let myself marinate in the flavour. Only then, am I reunited with the apple traits I know and love. However it is still more on the "creamier/sweeter" side rather than the thick, tart notes I remember. Overall it was very pleasant, but I wish this phenotype could find a better middle ground between its Sour Apple and Animal Cookies genetics.
In regards to effects I got a lot of medical beneift out of this product. It has a very mellow and calming effect with out sedating you too hard. Its quite nice to see a 26% thc strain dabble in its hybrid proporties. I was able to finish two dyna vape caps and my back pain was significantly reduced. Whilst it doesnt deliver the "kick" needed for bed time, Apple Fritter is perfect to help you coast along these cold, winter afternoons.
