Yesterday I did my first 5k race. 5k time was 22:32. I went all out, as you can see by my avg HR of 192 (max was 205). Also the whole race was on sand. Is this a good time for a 23 year old guy who is pretty much a running beginner? I got into running almost 2 months ago. Is it normal to keep such a high HR for 22 minutes? I’ve read that people usually can’t keep a max effort HR for long. Also I am planning on doing either a 10k or half marathon race in two weeks, I’m open for advice! Thanks
