My challenge with this- if any of you are familiar with the California poppy- is to mix that bright (in your face) orange. It’s so bright it reminds me of orange soda pop.

I will often paint smaller paintings as a sort of warm up- if I’ve taken a few days off my regular daily painting schedule. These are quick and fun to do.
