Bought and planted a 4’ tall a Kousa Dogwod last April. It was thriving, grew several inches, and had so many buds ready to pop this spring. Unfortunately we had two hard freezes with frost between March and April, and altho I covered the tree with a frost cover both times, it seems like it’s dead. The nursery said to use Miracle Gro to get the tree to push out new growth, but I’ve not seen any leaves pushing out in the last few weeks.

Anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions on what may help or should I give up on it.
