Quality Concerns
This all started when I noticed my cats refused to drink from the tap.
Then my houseplants began to die.
My fish tanks fouled quickly, despite frequent water changes and lots of live aquatic plants. I thought I just had a black thumb, until I began regularly purifying my water with a fairly time consuming three step method.
When I boil my water to purify it, there is accumulated sediment of heavy metals or… something, interacting with my kettle. My cats prefer to drink the water that has been dechlorinated.
I did a few basic water quality tests and nothing notable stands out. My cats could just be extremely picky and it could be making me overreact but I’ve also been displaying some hormonal imbalances which my doctor is concerned could be caused by food (I don’t eat fast food).
Have there been any food or water quality concerns in Freddy? Is it just the national standard? Thought I heard something about fluoride being used.
My family has several pairs of cats (~7) across a few houses in roughly a straight horizontal line in the State of Maryland, living here for over a year I just wonder how different it could be.
