I like the idea that Clark's repeated lying to Lex and not trusting Lex with his secret caused his decent to evil. This only really works if Lex is a genuine friend of Clark(i.e. not having him investigated). Smallville should have leaned into this imo.

It removes the idea of fate and destiny deciding who people are. But I still get why people don't like it, this is just my opinion.

Half the book is just the incel fantasy, I doubt people want that adapted. They've already covered parts of books 2 and 3(apparently). Descriptions that are pages long can be portrayed in a few scenes. But yea I do agree Apple should have made this.

Book 3 idk, didn't read it yet.
