Was just messing around with my pedal's footboard angle and found out that a lower setting allows me to play slower double bass parts much easier and generally tighter but when I try to use ankle technique for faster parts like 180bpm and above it seems harder in comparison to a higher foot board angle. Spring tension is max always.

Is this true in most cases or is my technique/setup not allowing me to play as fast with a lower footboard angle?
