Friends and I are going to start a Daggerheart campaign for the first time in a few weeks and I cannot wait!

So I have been digging a little bit over the net for a character and I have an idea for a fun Fungril druid character.

Trigger warning: rot, death, mushrooms and decomposition.

Lore:

• This Fungril is coming from a mostly clonal, colonial mycelium fungus, in opposition to some other individual, mostly spore-reproduction Fungrils,
• It was detached from the colony to investigate a potential danger to the colony. It is still a part of the colony, but a mobile part of it,
• It does not consider itself as an individual but as a multitude of entities,
• It only talks about itself and others in the plural form (we, our,...),
• It became aware of the danger through absorbing the dead body of an adventurer dropped into the colony's grotto,
• It only learned about human manners and customs through absorbing the adventurer, making it super awkward,
• It considers death as part of life and rot as part of the cycle,
• Its body is made of a bulky humanoid ent-like mushroom with a large mushroom hat and several other mushrooms growing on its "trunk". The frame is based on the adventurer's "growing supports", a.k.a his bones,
• It is openly and shamelessly saying that a mushroom is a fruit, a.k.a. reproductive organs, my hidden goal being to put my fellow adventurers into embarrassing positions like wondering if I am literally a d*ckhead, or wondering if they are actually eating Fungril genitals with their stew,
• It harbours a permanent way too large smile, that it thinks will be "soothing to bipeds" but is actually awkward and spooky,
• It is always calm and thinks before talking, talks slowly,
• Tries its best to look less disgusting to "bipeds",
• Favourite drink is water with oat bran dipped in it. It eats and drinks through mycelium appendages coming from every extremities ("hands" and "feet"),
• Prefers dark, wet places.

Mechanics:

• Uses the Fungril Network to communicate reports to the colony, or communicate "telepathically" with other Fungrils,
• Transforms into a cute pet doggo when entering towns where Fungrils are considered disgusting,
• (to be confirmed with GM) Can drop spores into dark, wet cavities to extend its body and spy on people through the Fungril Network (after growth).
• (to be confirmed with GM) Can give its fellow adventurers "athlete's foot" to use the Fungril Network with them if they are bare feet in contact with the soil. (yummy)
• (to be confirmed with GM) At higher level, gain a custom racial ability of "Cordyceps parasitism", allowing to get small to medium sized recently dead bodies to be re-animated as slow, fragile zombies.
