Hi guys! I’m planning on cosplaying soon as Phainon for my first time but I’m a bit nervous. Simply put I do not have the aura of a 6ft tall beautiful man. No, I am a 4’10 Asian 23 year old that wears glasses and gets mistaken often for a 14 year old ;-; I know cosplay is for everyone and that the ultimate goal is to have fun, but I can’t help but feel self conscious. Also sorry for my long ass post.
I was thinking of how I could make my cosplay more silly since it’s probably already a bit humorous to see a small Phainon walking in the distance. The only idea I have so far though is wearing a propeller hat and carrying a large lollipop when cosplaying but idk.
I wanted to post this here instead of a cosplay subreddit since I think you’d guys get it more.
I’m not sure how to explain it but it’s like when you’re trying to draw a character and you feel cringe when doing it badly. You don’t want to let them down even though they’re 2d since you care about them so much.
Do you guys have any general Phainon cosplay advice, thoughts, or tips?
I’m 90% sure I’m overthinking this, but I like to cover all my bases when I start to worry over something. In the meantime I’m going to buy some elevator shoes.
