Finally made my base look decent

This took way too long, but I turned my basement into a work area. I'm really happy with it so far, and I added a periodic table like several other people have done. Now my plan is to get the Circuit Assembler and set up oil power, then I can move on to MV. What do you all think?

Oh boy, this took longer than I thought. I thought I would need 30 minutes max to craft this, but it ended up taking 3 hours to smelt my first cobalt ingot. Well, here's what I learned, and what I think I'm meant to do next:

What I learned

  1. ALWAYS check recipe tiers, I ran out of asbestos halfway through because of this.
  2. Pay attention to liquid ingredients. I forgot glue was a thing, but thankfully I had enough slime to melt down.
  3. Make sure you actually have the machines you need. I had to craft the fluid extractor, forming press, and mixer partway through because I forgot they existed.

I don't exactly know what to do next, but I think I should aim for the good circuit boards quest. It needs a lot of liquids, so I'll probably finally touch oil first. Any tips?

Quick rant, I've been dying for a cobalt pick for all of LV, and I just now remembered I had 3 ingots in a chest from looting...

Anyways, I can't believe this went so fast, and if you've seen my last 3 or so posts, you'd know. I'm finally prepared, and now I can start crafting. I spend an hour or so crunching the numbers on raw materials a few days ago, and I by no means thought I'd make it here so fast. I'll probably post again in about half an hour, once I get this beast set up.

I know this is my third post today, but I apparently locked in. I wasn't planning to be here for a few more days, but I guess I'm just too addicted to this lol.

TL;DR: Traveled 1500 blocks for Cassiterite to find Mica with, found 2 Mica veins within 100 blocks of my base.

So I've begun the resource gathering for the EBF, and I knew how/where to get all the materials except Mica. I spent some time in NEI and found I could prospect for it with Cassiterite, though I only had Cassiterite Sand. I did further NEI investigating and found that the only bridge I could make was with a Vermiculite vein, which has Chalcopyrite.

I ended up having to travel upwards of 1500 blocks in every direction to find one Vermiculite vein, and on the way picked up quite a lot of loot. I decided to head home and drop off the loot before finally searching for the Mica, though I did put Cassiterite in my ore finder wand.

On the way home (you can see my road in the image), I found two Mica veins in essentially my backyard. I found this hilarious, and quite anticlimactic, so I figured I'd share it here.
