Constructive Feedback
I’ve been using Bevel for about a month now (before the new AI update and I haven’t even tried that). What drew me to Bevel was the fact it showed me insights from all my different health tracking apps in a better way than Apple Health. But there are some really glaring issues that makes it hard to keep using it.
Im unsure if Bevel plans on focusing on these since there seems to be a pivot to AI. But here goes a list
Nutrition Tracking:
- Ive made some recipes to easily track stuff I make/eat regularly. But when I describe my meals and even use the exact same name as the recipes I still get generic made up versions. Even with the data in Bevel.
- It would be nice to combine recipes or easily change them on the fly when logging without fully editing the main recipe
- Is there plans to integrate with other food related apps if building these features out are an issue?? (My Fitness Pal, Yazio integration)
Workout Tracking
- I use Garmin for this kind of stuff and import it into Bevel. I have no idea why it only imports partial information. I have my full workouts (reps, weight, exercise, etc) in Garmin Connect. Why does that not import this as well?? Having to log this separately after the fact seems like an unnecessary extra step
Sleep Tracking
- I use a Hume Band for sleep tracking. I know theres a thread for Hume integration, but Bevel pulls my sleep data from my Hume Band anyway. But it doesnt import the sleep stages, even though its available in the Hume app AND Apple Health. Its like the app randomly chooses one source for this instead if combining data as I expected it to
I really like the app but the issues Im mentioned seems to have been issues for a while. So wondering if I should just cut my losses and try to find another similar app.
