VP at Arkansas Children's forces helicopter route to change due to noise over their home
VP at Arkansas Children’s who lives west of I-49 near the Springdale hospital complained about helicopter noise and forced them to change the flight route while those helicopters are transporting critically ill children. Apparently, it would scare their dog. A pilot at ACH said they were not even flying close enough to this person’s house for it to be that loud. That is the level of decision making here.
These are life saving transports where minutes matter and someone in leadership chose personal comfort over that. Similar story happening in Seattle where affluent neighbors who sit on the hospital's board are preventing helicopter landings at Seattle Childrens.
