Mama duck ran over off 158th and Walker Rd. Thank you to the person who left with the baby ducks
I’m posting this for my friend who does not use reddit. We work together and he was out doing a delivery for our work and he witnessed this happen
This happened off 158th Ave just passed the Fred Meyer and Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center
He stopped a good distance away with his hazard lights on, same with the people in the other lane waiting for the Mama Duck and her little babies to cross the road
He witnessed someone willingly just plow right into the mama duck and her babies. He said this person had to have been going 20-30 mph. This should’ve been enough time and cautious as to why everyone else was stopped on the road. Especially with their hazards
After the duck got hit, he got out of the car to check on her and a couple other people got out to scramble the baby ducks. The Mama duck was conscious only for a little bit before passing away in his hands…
Allegedly one of the babies had been maimed on its leg and the rest were fine. A lady had a box ready to get all the babies in there, which they were successfully able to do. Thankfully she was ready and quick to be there to help.
If the lady who helped in this situation sees this, please let us know how the baby ducks are doing! We felt so bad for him having to see that and deal with the mama duck dying in his hands.
