I've been craving feeling cared for lately. I've been missing a reliable figure in my life- an affectionate voice, a caring presence; an older, wiser entity. I think I have exhausted my supply of being fiercely independent and self sufficient for now. Being the eldest daughter certainly takes it's toll.

I understand that it's hard to care for a stranger. I guess I'm just throwing it out there and see what sticks. Am I expecting anything? No. Am I hopeful? Certainly.

Give me a shoulder while I replenish my supply?
